Welcome to the Danab Cycle blog

The Danab Cycle is a space opera saga I’ve been working on for thirty years. In publication it has spanned across anthologies, short story collections, and novellas. Conceptually it’s very much as if Star Wars was more like Star Trek, a series of epic stories that chronicle the adventures of humanity in the future as it navigates the intergalactic community, with the pivotal relationship being the conflict with the Danab, who are humans, too, but scooped up in the distant past, reuniting later in the clash that brought humans to the stars, and the struggle they have in reconciling. The series of books that explore all this has so far produced two novel-length manuscripts, one written fifteen years ago, and the other last year. The projected series, beyond the first four, has more of a Chronicles of Narnia feel, with subsequent installments following new characters in their own adventures as the Danab Cycle is explored, eventually reaching back to the beginnings, both the origin of the Danab themselves and the cataclysmic war that resulted in their rediscovery of Earth…
